Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Okay, So I’ve been getting the Ipsy bag for about five years now and I recently received an email that I was selected to upgrade to the glam bag plus. If you’ve never head of the Ipsy glam bag, it’s a makeup subscription service. The monthly cost is just $10 dollars and you get 5 beauty samples and usually one of the 5 items is a full size beauty item. It is a really fun subscription that has turned me on to so many amazing beauty products.

I have found some really cool items, from beauty brushes, perfume, makeup, hair products, etc. Also your Ipsy bag comes in a really cute makeup bag every month. I have to say I have found numerous amounts of uses for those bags!  When I received the email to try their glam bag plus, I immediately jumped on it. It’s $25 dollars a month, and you get 5 FULL size beauty items!! I mean I felt like that was a pretty good deal. if I didn’t like it I could always change my subscription back to my original Ipsy bag.

Ipsy Glam Bag

Once I received my glam bag plus I opened it up, and was pleased to see they send you a makeup bag every three months. You only get one makeup bag every three months, because this one is bigger and a bit more luxe (as they call it). I am completely okay with this and feel like one every three months is perfect! Now onto the important stuff… what’s in the bag!!

Purlisse – Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask (Retail $48)

This 10 minute facial is supposed to help diminish pores, and give an all over glow. Ingredients such as Blue lotus seed, white clay, ginger, white tea, and mushroom extract will brighten, detox, tighten and soothe your skin. This one product alone was the double the price I paid for the bag, Win win for me!!

Ciate London – Dewy Spritz Prime & Set Spray (Retail $25)

I think this may have been the product I am most excited about. First of all when you shake it, it looks so sparkly and pretty! Shake it, spritz it, and you get an ethereal glow, plus your makeup is set! I was hesitant at first, because I did not want to sparkle. But this leaves you with the most amazing natural looking glow. Bonus it’s a healthy skin fix, since it contains Hyaluronic Acid and Green tea extract. Luminous and Healthy… Double win!

LXMI – Pure Nilotica Melt (Retail $48)

100% Organic, one ingredient miracle balm is how it’s described. Made with Nilotica Fruit Butter ( A super food harvested from 20-year-old trees in the Nile River) It’s rich and buttery and melts right into skin. I’ve been using it nightly instead of my nightly moisturizer and I’ve really been digging it!

Morphe – High Impact Highlighter in Extra (Retail $14)

They opened a Morphe store in the mall, and I had no idea what it was. I was pretty excited to get this product and see what all the hype was about. The highlighter is very buttery and smooth and is a YouTuber staple. It reflects light without being glittery, which I love since I’m more of a matte person when it comes to makeup. It’s very light too! This could be my new favorite highlighter!

Tarte Cosmetics – Maneater Mascara (Retail $23)

I always love getting mascara. It gives me a chance to try all the great ones out there! I have to admit I have not yet tried this one out, but from what the description says its supposed to give you full, long, and flirty lashes!

Smashbox Cosmetics – Cover Shot Eye Pallete Bold Glitter (Retail $29)

Okay, First I love Smashbox Cosmetics! Second… Glitter!!! These glitter shades are gorgeous!! And no I won’t be using it as an everyday look, I will most definitely be putting this on when I’m going out. It has just enough colors to mix in with any eye color to make a stunning statement, as well as using for an eyeliner look!

I’m already waiting for November’s bag anxiously, I hope it’s as good as this one! Stay tuned to see!!
