Christmas Home Tour 2018

I’m taking a stab at my first Christmas Home tour. Admitting that I’m so nervous doing a home tour. But I thought hey, if I’m doing all this hard work I might as well show it off, right?!

Now I’m not sure where I should even start on this home tour, but I’ve put together a handful of pictures of my Christmas Decor this season.

Green, Red, and Vintage, all with a modern glam kind of twist. My decor style is definitely modern, traditional, farmhouse. Honestly I think farmhouse is everywhere, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon. Which makes it hard to design anything without incorporating a little of the farmhouse style in any design.

Dining Room

My dining room and my front room are my two rooms. What that means, they’re the no touch rooms. And what that means with four kids, everything still gets touched. Actually to be honest my kids don’t mess too much in these rooms. Which gives me a chance to decorate them a little more “fancier”. Black is my go to color, what else I love glass and mirrors and some sparkle. Hence glitter ornaments, glass mirrored trees and black candlesticks. I love throwing some wood in the mix, I think it breaks everything up. Also got to add a touch of that vintage charm with these appetizer plates.

Kitchen

There isn’t anything I love more than a clean kitchen, which usually isn’t the case in our house. But I do like to keep things simple and de cluttered in the kitchen the best I can. Adding this vintage blow mold santa, which happens to be my favorite piece of decor. And a few other Christmas items to give the kitchen a little pop.

Living Room/ Great Room

So if you didn’t know, I have 4 kids, and a passion for decorating. Something else I’m big on, as much as I love to decorate, my kids also live here as well. Making it fun and functional are two things that always go into my decorating process. There are a handful of us that live here being comfortable is high on the priority list.

Front Room

Probably my favorite room in the house, this is the room I go to when I want to be left alone(spoiler alert, it doesn’t work). I like to think of this room as my inspiration room. I’ll sit here with my coffee and notepad and work on ideas, design, crafts, whatever they may be.

This room gets a lot of the red and green theme. Why did I do red and green? To be honest I got a set of red and green ornaments on clearance a few years ago, and it’s been growing ever since. Also red, green, and gold are such traditional Christmas colors. I feel like nothing gives you that home for the holidays touch like the traditional Christmas colors.

Mud Room

I mean go big or go home right?! Well that’s my decorating motto. Can’t forget to add a little touch of Christmas to the mudroom. This is a room we use every day, it needs a little Christmas cheer.

Playroom

Last but not least the playroom. Now I just threw a few decorations up in this room. I think once this room is actually one hundred percent decorated, I’ll be able to add some seriously fun Christmas decorations in here. But here’s a taste for this year

Christmas Home tour 2018 in the books! I should also add first home tour in the books! Here’s to 2019, and some fun new projects!
