Fast, Festive 4th of July Wreath
Can you believe the 4th of July is a week away! Summer always flies by so fast. With another holiday comes a new wreath. I love any excuse to make a new wreath, I truly hope I’m not the only one out there who is wreath obsessed! I threw together a little 4th of July wreath a couple of weeks ago and I thought I would share how easy this wreath was!Β
This wreath is super simple and doesn’t take long to throw together. I think the longest part was waiting for the stain to dry!
Let’s talk supplies! I used an embroidery hoop (14″) from Michael’s it cost around $4. I also got the flower bunches from Michael’s and all together it cost a little over $10 for the flowers. I then found the galvanized welcome sign from hobby lobby for around $4. I ended up using the wood one I found off of Etsy for just over $8.
The first step is completely optional and you can always do whatever you want. I took my embroidery hoop apart I used the outer piece since it’s a little bigger. I then stained my hoop using Bombay Mahogany by minwax and let it dry. Another option would to paint it using craft paint, or just leave it as is looks great too!
I plugged in the glue gun and let it warm up to glue on the greenery and the flowers
I started by cutting apart the greenery and flowers, and glueing it onto the hoop after it was dry. Once the greenery was glued on, I glued the flowers.
I felt like after I was done glueing the flowers the wreath needed a little patriotic flare. I grabbed a small American flag and glued it in there. (you can get a pack of three for a dollar at the target dollar spot)
I couldn’t choose what sign I liked more, but I ended up using the wood welcome sign from Etsy (I bought the 12″ sign) and painted it white with some craft paint. I let it dry and then I positioned it and hot glued it onto the embroidery hoop.
And Done! Fast, festive and adorable 4th of July wreath!! πΊπΈ
