Choosing Flooring with Dura Decor

| | |

It’s project time here! I mean, it’s always project time, but I’m talking some major projects. From, new windows, new paint, to new floors, were doing it all right at the same time! Talk about keeping it interesting!

The first major project I am tackling, is the office/craft space. It’s in desperate need, and since I’m taking my blogging career more seriously, its time to save this space! Operation save craft/offfice room has commenced!

Where to start?!

It was a bit overwhelming to start, but after I cleared the room out I knew some new floors were needed. There was a few things I kept in mind when deciding on new floors for my office. One was the location, my office is in the basement, and basements make me nervous, for flooding or water damage. Wether it be a crack in the foundation, or any other number of things, I’m scared of water damage.

Another thing I kept in mind, was what this room would be used for. It’s a craft room, meaning, things are going to get messy, I needed something that will be easy to clean. But it’s also my office, so I still wanted it to look put together, and professional. Functional, and styled.

Listing out the where, the what, and getting a little bit of a mood board together, helped me decide on vinyl. Which in turn led me to Dura Decor, Peel and stick vinyl flooring. Something I could get done over a weekend, or a couple hours a few days in the week.

Why Dura Decor?!

Dura Decor has some beautiful flooring options available, and I fell in love with the Natural Hickory. I knew it would be perfect to lighten and warm up my dreary cave of an office.

Some of the reasons why I chose Dura Decor, was of course the ease of laying these floors, it doesn’t get easier than peel and stick. Not to mention, they have detailed and clear instructions, and a video right on their website. One more thing that really made my life easier, is that there aren’t too many tools needed. This is the list they provide on their site, again making the process, simple, and easy.

Dura Decor vinyl is also made from 100% Virgin PVC.

What does 100% virgin pvc mean? It means it’s going to more durable and sustainable, and it’s the healthier option. Knowing that it isn’t made without any heavy metal contaminants, and comes directly from the manufacturing facility.

Let’s Do This!!!

Currently, our new flooring is sitting in the office ready to go. I left the flooring to sit in the office, to acclimate for 24 hours. I love the texture and the look of it, and I’m so ready to see it in this space!! Stay tuned for the big reveal!!
