Another Season… Another Wreath
We’re just a couple of weeks away from school being finished, and once school is out, that’s officially when Summer begins at my house. With summer knocking on the door, I thought that it was time for a new wreath (Get it knocking on the door, new wreath… ha ha…I got jokes…) So I threw together another one of my super easy, super simple wreaths. These wreaths, are seriously so easy and shouldn’t take more than an hour to make.
My Inspiration came from this adorable little flamingo, which I found at Target (of Course) I’m such a huge fan of their dollar spot, that’s seriously my first stop to check for new things. They have the best little crafts, small gifts, decor, stationary, fun things for the kids to keep busy with. Moving forward, I found this flamingo for a $1 and I immediately thought… New wreath!!
The go to spot for flowers for my wreath is Michael’s, I can get a bundle of flowers for usually under $10 dollars. I also try to wait until they’re having them 50-60% off, which is almost every week. I found the bundle I’m using today, in the seasonal spring/summer flowers.
I picked up my wreath form from Hobby Lobby(40% Off coupon of course) making the wreath form around two dollars. Ribbon is usually on sale for 50% off every other week at Hobby Lobby, so I picked up the ribbon for around two dollars also.
The 3yard roll of ribbon I used made it this far around my 14″ wreath form, which is just enough, but if you were looking to do a bigger wreath, you would probably need another roll. I also keep the plastic on the wreath form, because I feel like it makes less of a mess and you’re able to wrap the ribbon around a bit tighter.
After the ribbon is wrapped around, I cut down the flower stems and stuck them into the part of the wreath that doesn’t have any ribbon. You will just have to play around with the flowers and the leaves to get them how you like them.
After the flowers and greenery were placed where I liked them, I took my handy-dandy… Number one crafting too, glue gun and glued my little flamingo right into the flowers!
And Ta-Da! Done, a fun summer wreath for the door!!
